The Tuscan region remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in Italy. Situated in the Tyrrhenian Sea, the archipelago is the biggest protected area in Europe. Besides, all these islands also fall under the protection of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago. From the visitors perspective, all islands are accessible with the exception of Montecristo and Gorgona.
